Karate at Lowell and Thurgood Marshall Elementary Schools

The Feminist Karate Union has been offering karate at Lowell since July 2000. This is a popular program, and and there is often a waiting list. This class is currently held on Tuesday and Thursday after school. Beginning September 2009 we will also offer karate at Thurgood Marshall Elementary School on Monday and Wednesday mornings, before classes begin.

For new students: applications will be available in the Main Office the second week of school. If they are out of applications, please ask to be added to the wait list and contact the teacher, Sensei Joanne Factor. Class size will be limited to about 20 at Thurgood Marshall and 25 at Lowell.

Karate at Lowell will begin on Tuesday Sept 22. Classes will be taught 3:45 - 4:45 pm.

Karate at Thurgood Marshall will begin on Monday Oct 5. Classes will be taught 8:05 - 9:05 am.

Tuition at either location is $225 per trimester. Also payable first trimester only are annual fees of $12 payable to FKU and $12 payabe to IKF. New karate gis (uniforms) are available for $20.
