The FKU Board

FKU’s all-volunteer board is made up of instructors, students, and parents of child students. Terms are two years, and officers are voted in.

The Board meets on the second Sunday of every month at 10am. Let us know if you’re interested in serving!

2019 Meeting dates: April 14, June 9, July 14, August 11, September 8, October 13, November 10, December 8

Nikia Fenlin Antiochia

Nikia joined the Board in 2019, and is currently serving as the FKU Board President.

“I’ve been involved in FKU on and off since 2009, and being a part of this community has resulted in my closest friendships, professional and personal accomplishments, and shaped me as an adult at a time when I had a lot of uncertainty about the future. As a board member, I want to ensure that FKU will be here and kicking ass for other women and children both now and in later generations.”

Fun fact: Nikia LOVES Pokemon and plays on her own, with her family, and in her local Renton community.

Judy Lytle

Judy joined the board in 2017, and is currently serving as the FKU Board Vice President.

“I joined the Board because I saw it as an opportunity to help the FKU community grow. This is a great community, and there’s so much more we can do.”

Fun fact: Judy’s house currently has three dogs and two cats, all rescues, and all works-in-progress. Life is better with furry friends around, even if (or especially when) they’re quirky.

Jennifer Sweigert

“I joined because FKU has been a very important and beneficial part of my life and I wanted to help make sure it continues so other women can have the same benefits.”

“I joined the Board because I care about the long-term existence of the FKU community. FKU has given me so much and I want to ensure others can continue to receive the benefits I have received.”

Our newest member Josie joined the Board in 2019, and is currently the junior member.

“I joined the Board because I wanted to give back to this awesome organization that has helped me gain confidence, learn to defend myself, be more in the present moment, and has shown me that I am much stronger than I thought I was. I also thought we needed representation from the youth in FKU.”

Fun Fact: In 6th grade, Josie shaved her head and donated her hair to charity to support her cousin with cancer and other kids with cancer.
