Write a check to “FKU” and submit it to the dojo, either to an instructor or via the payment box. We do not accept credit cards.
Payments may be made in cash, but please include your name, the name of the student (if you are a parent), and “tuition” on the envelope.

The beginner’s introductory package includes 3 months of tuition, a beginner’s gi, and annual dues ($24) for the first year. The total cost is $250.
After the introductory period, tuition is $85 per month.
There’s a 10% discount if you pay quarterly ($230).
Tuition for Children
The kids' introductory package for $200 covers the first 3 months tuition, annual fees, and a karate uniform.
After the introductory period, monthly tuition is $70.
There’s a 10% discount if you pay quarterly ($189).
Elementary School Program
Tuition for this program is paid three times during the school year, rather than monthly. Tuition is $295 per term (there are 3 terms each school year) (note: there are now administration fees added for Thurgood Marshall and Fairmount Park). Also payable first term are annual fees of $24. New karate gis (uniforms) are available for $25. All checks should be payable to FKU (except at Cascadia where payment is to KidsCo). Summer Punch Card
A summer punch card is available for students who would like to continue their training over the summer at the FKU dojo. The punch card is available for $99.
Annual membership dues for the International Karate Federation (IKF), which is FKU’s parent organization, are $24 per year.
Each rank promotion has an associated fee. Please check with instructors.
A beginner’s karate gi (uniform) costs between $25 and $40, and can be purchased at FKU.
If you pay quarterly, you’ll receive a 10% discount.
We also offer a 10% discount on tuition for immediate family members.
Scholarships are available for students in financial need. Please speak with one of the instructors.
